Christmas

This Christmas was so much fun with all my boys! I had to work Chirstmas eve, so when I got home around 7 in the morning Santa had already come to the house. Noone was awake yet so of course I was way excited I went and woke everyone up! Elias slept in our bedroom, so I went and woke Daddy and Elias up first. We all went to wake up Jax next and found the first thing Santa brought, BUNK BEDS!!! Elias had so much fun climbing up them and Jumping on them!!

About a month before Christmas we were walking through Walmart and Elias saw a Mac truck with tailor and Lightning McQueen on top, he asked for it every day! Santa pulled through last minute and got that truck. Elias was so excited he almost didn't want to open anything else! He also got a remote control truck with trailor, a giant tiger stuffed animal. Lots of choo choo trains and a Leapster with penguins game and toy story game!

Jax was so tired from all the excitement Christmas morning, he took an early nap. We fed him bottle and we put him to bed, when I layed him down he was biting the bottle and it stuck in his mouth so we had to snap the picture before taking it out! ha ha! Jax got a giant frog stuffed animal, a night time see horse that lights up and sings, a zebra walking scooter thing (so cute!), trains and lots of other cute toys!
Jax also got a blow up penguin that sings and and you can hit and bounces back. He saw it and started crying and screaming hystericaly, it was so sad! I guess that he has a fear of penguins! Everytime he saw it the rest of the night he would cry!

Wenesday before Christmas Uncle Dan came into town. So Uncle Dan, Uncle Jed, Grams and our family took Front runner to SLC, ate dinner at Tocanos and walked around temple square. It was so much fun and not to cold.

The Draney annual cookie baking day was a great success! Grandma D, Lynne, Mom and I all get together every year and bake cookies all day! It is so fun to see what new ideas we have and to eat the fruits of our labor! Hopefully if you see one of us this holiday season you will be able to enjoy it too!
We had an awesome Thanksgiving this year! We were able to have the entire Draney clan, minus Grandpa D, we missed you terribly on this holiday I remeber it being one of his favorites! We were still able to have Grandma D's good cooking! Wehad the best food and our new house was perfect we set up tables in the front room that were big enough for everyone to be at the same table! It has been a long time that we have been able to have Thanksgiving together, or even at the same table! It is so amazing to all of us kids grown up and with our own kids. I remeber being at Grandma and Grandpa D's house every year for Thanksgiving, it was nice to give Grandma a break and let me do the hosting this year. We had a craft table set up for the kids, and a yummy dessert table followed by a Rockband rock out!

The boys

It's been a fun busy summer, after the rains finally cleared we got to swim a ton. Elias is now jumping off the diving board. He runs to the diving board, and without stopping jumps right into the water. No holding the nose or anything. It's so funny! Eli just loves his uncle Jed and copies everything he does! He started holding his nose to jump into the water, but lets go mid jump.
Jax is a great baby. He is now sleeping through the night. He is getting his little personilty, loves to giggle and has the best smile! Jax has started to eat foods, he hates peas but loves sweet potatoes. I think he might be a little pickier than Eli was. Food just isn't the same treat it was for Eli. Hopefully it gets better!

Jaxon Isaiah

We finally had baby brother. On April 7 I went for my 38 week check up. The doctor came in and did the ultrasound, he said the cord was wrapped around the baby's neck, he stopped gaining weight, and during the stress test there was some deccelerations during contractions, which is not good. So we had discussions and deceided we better do a C-section and get the baby out, make sure he was okay. The section was scheduled for the 8th at 1230, lunch time. At 630pm after 23 hours of not eating I finally was taken into the OR, I was ready to jump out of my skin from nerves and hunger! I had the greatest CRNA explained everything to me that I was feeling, or hopefully not feeling! He held up a mirror so I watched the entire surgery, from the first foot sticking out of my belly to the entire body being pulled out. They held up the baby for just a moment then took him away with daddy to get his first bath, foot prints, and to get that first little SCREAM out of him. I could hear him SCREAMING the entire time I was being stitched up. After I was taken to the recovery room to anxiously await holding the little screamer until they had him clean and cute. We decided to order dinner for me before I went into surgery, because the kitchen closed at 700. Dinner got brought in I ate every bite of the best meal I had, had in 9 months. Being sick the entire time, it was nice to not feel nausous or throw up after! Finally Jaxon was brought in with some student nurses on of which I work with at Lakeview, it was really cool!

Recovery went extremly well almost no pain I was really worried about recovery since I had never been through any kind of surgery before. 3 weeks out and I am basically back to normal. I have been eating a ton of food, it all tastes so good and stays down again! Jaxon is doing great he has gained almost a pound since birth which is kind of rare! Elias loves his new baby brother, he always wants to hold him and gets pretty anxious when he is not with him or does not know where he is. All in all everything turned out great and everyone is finally healthy again!

Disney On Ice

Disney on ice came to the ESA, we decided we better go see it. I bought tickets online last minute and ended up front row on the ice. It was so much fun to see Mater, Lightning McQueen, Simba, Timone and Pumba, and all the fish from Little Mermaid. Elias had a blast. Oh and of course Mickey and Minni.
